PMU-B together with allied agencies both in Thailand and abroad co-drive the Frontier BCG Consortium
On February 6, 2023, Prof. Dr. Sompong Klainongsuang, Director of PMU-B has assigned Prof. Dr. Chatchai Muenprasat, Chairman of the Frontier BCG Cluster Coordinating Committee, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rina Patramanon, Chairman of the Frontier Research Cluster Coordinating Committee and Ms. Chaturapron Chokphukhiao, Chairman of the SHA and AI Cluster Coordinating Group, attended "The 1st International Reinventing University Roadmap for Phenomics Symposium 2023" to find partners in the development of Frontier BCG consortium networks at Auditorium Science Park Administration Building Khon Kaen University.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Chatchai Muenprasart, Chairman of the Frontier BCG Cluster Coordinating Group, delivered a special speech on the topic of “Scopes and mechanisms to support BCG frontier research by PMU-B” by discussing the funding policy of the BCG focuses on the BCG Model and the BCG Economy through a multilateral platform of 1) universities/research institutions, 2) governments, 3) foreign countries, and 4) private/society/communities.
.He also discussed the approach to creating research in the field of BCG Frontier and human resource development of the BCG by creating advanced manpower and ecosystem, as well as creating knowledge and advanced technology in the field of Personalized Medicine and Future Food as a consortium network to support the industry of the future and develop into a personalized health hub at the international level.
PMU-B traveled to visit the International Phenome Laboratory of Khon Kaen University and the Faculty of Science and Technology traveled to listen to the presentation of research problems by Dr. Apirachai Wongsriworapol, Director of the Science Park Administration Building, Northeast in the subject of "Cybersecurity Industrial Laboratory Establishment Project Ready to create businesses and private sector services in the Mekong River Basin" and discussed to spread the direction of the research problem to Frontier BCG, with cyber security training and issuing a certificate divided into groups. There are 3 levels of goals: basic, expert and executive level
On the other hand, Ms. Chaturapron Chokphukhiao suggested that cybersecurity be applied to Big Data personal health AI in terms of medical team networks, which is starting to build a Big Data network at the moment, with the target audience being medical school staff and personnel in the hospital which is planned to be built as a project proposal and submitting a budget request in the year 2024. In addition, the Faculty of Pharmacy has traveled to visit the pharmaceutical production facility (pharmaceutical factory) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Khon Kaen University. In this operation It has been processed into dietary supplements and cosmetics from plant extracts, herbs, and has also worked as a network with the Smart Farm project, Khon Kaen University.
